Preaching to the Choir
Top 10 reasons to learn CSS. The article itself is fine, but I have to wonder if it’s not a little passe. All the hand coders that are *going* to be convinced to hop onto the CSS boat have already done so. The designers that are left creating tag soup are the ones stuck using WYSIWYG software like Dreamweaver and Fusion. It’s time to stop trying to convince the designers and start convincing the software makers. Again. Like they had to be convinced to produce software that output valid code.
And of course, not all WYSIWYG software spits out valid code even now. (I’m looking at *you*, Fusion.)
But (and god, it pains me to have to admit this) sometimes, getting s**t done *now* is more important the getting it done perfectly.
So once again, if we really want to see CSS hit the big time, we have to make it easier to produce a css site with the software tools folks are using than it would be for them to produce a table based site using that same software.
