And I realy can't blame them. This is a little family owned amusement park a few towns over from where I grew up. It's run by nice, decent folks. I worked there for a summer.
The only thing that surprises me about the accident is that it took this long to happen. Seriously. Gun saftey was not something that was *ever* discussed in my hearing during my stint up there... and yeah, I was in a few shows *where guns were fired*. Not that I was worried about saftey at the time...I was 20. What the hell did I care? I was immortal.
My heart goes out to the Harris family.... no one should have to go though that. Bill was aghast that any entertainment venue could get away with such lax to nonexistant saftey codes, and the only thing I could come up with was that... this is Sussex County. And up there, if you've been around for decades... it's not (quite) about croneyism but folks just don't think that there could be a problem. Because it's always been there, and there's never been a problem, so why worry? Things just get grandfathered in.
