Fantastic!

Everyone fails for not telling me about this earlier. Someone wrote and filmed a ten years later epilogue for Highlander. Joe, Amanda, and Methos. And a wedding.

This review does better that I can, since I’m still kinda full of squee.

On further reflection, I might even forgive the fail!boat that was the final season for this. Ritchie!death, The Raven, and the movies are still regarded with bitterness though.

I often lament that the majority of books for sale at a chain bookstore aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on. After seeing the Temeraire series recc’ed a lot, I picked up the first volume yesterday and am quite hooked. It’s alternate history, which I love anyway, and it’s got age of sail goodness, which is like mixing Master and Commander in with a good military fantasy yarn. So yeah, am quite hooked.

And there are five volumes published so far, in a nine volume cycle. So I’ll have a new book to look towards for a few months, at least. Nifty.

And the author’s on LJ. Even better :)
