Whenever someone tells me the will call me “right back” with their billing info, it translates to “no matter how long I hang by my desk waiting, they will actually call the moment I leave to do something else.” But that’s what voicemail is for, after all.
OTOH, I have doves/pigeons cooing outside my window, which is nice.
Finally managed that batik effect I was trying for:

I’m home from turkey day, and this is the stuff I’ve found.
MyCuppa - ensuring the perfect coffee to cream ratio.
Personally, I’m ok judgging *my* cuppa by eye, but the concept is cute.
I wanted to get a batik effect with this. Didn’t really succeed, but I like where it did go.

Most folks who know me in RL know my mom’s a sculptor/illustrator. I sometimes mention that most of the rest that family are professional artists of some stripe. Today I thought I’d spotlight my aunt Jenny (photo-realistic acrylics).
The “starred” feature in google reader and gmail is nice, but something allowing me to “mark as unread” would be even nicer.
Ditto for the new “auto-blogroll” - which I would consider using if there was a way to customize the display. (re-skinning the colors doesn’t cut it - I want full css control.)
Blood on Satin’s got a game set up at the old church in Nutley…. feel like coming out for an evening? It’s new World of Darkness - we’ve got mages, vampires, and werewolves as PC’s so far. (with talk of Changeling in the near future.)

I think I’m really going to make the switch to google apps… after one day of using gmail for all email and google reader for my rss reading, I do not want to go bck to Windows Mail and FeedDemon (which I used to swear by).
It was Gmail enabling IMAP that really did it, I suppose. (’cause I do love the option of offline backup… a holdover from my dialup days) That, and figuring out how to get Gmail to pop my CreateSomething mail so all my communication is seamless. (so you can send email to the same address and and I’ll get it, with no hassle.)
